grip size?

Well... my son dropped the WR in a driveway and it cut the end of the right grip off and scratched up the heat shield on the exhaust. Does anyone know what size the throttle grip is? I was just going to replace them both with some aftermarket grips but don't know what size they are.

The exhaust heat shield by itself is $106 from Bike Bandit !!!!!!! $106.00??? !!! Wow! I mean it's a piece of plastic. Yamaha is making a killing on that part. Guess I'll be driving around with white scratches all across it because there ain't no way I'm dropping triple digits for a piece of plastic.

Simple fix... get some Krylon Fusion paint, and paint the heat shield. Grip are fairly universal. Your bar size is 7/8". Just measure the stock grips for length. I forget what it is now. Some grips come in different lengths. There's a million choices for grips. It's rider preference as to which you choose.
