| Okay, i am a total noob here. I just bought the bike a couple of months ago and now i have purchased new wheels/rotors/sprocket 47 tooth from Warp 9 online. The delivery of items was great and they look fantastic! Well worth the money IMHO. Okay here is the question; What other component parts will I need to change, kick stand, chain, speedometer? I have the stock 13t up front and stock chain for my 2008 Wr250x bike. I ordered the tires to fit the new wheel set and there is a huge difference in height. I am wondering how off my speedometer will be? Also, will it stand with the stock X kickstand?
I apologize in advance for such remedial questions. If these are answered elsewhere, hopefully someone will point me in the right direction. FYI, I would have ordered the stock rear sprocket, but I figured I would like to gain some lower torque during the dirt riding - not sure if i did right there? I do not want to change the front sprocket because I have heard of damage occurring with smaller sprocket to the swing arm. Any advice or comments are very welcome! Thank you. Mark

| You will need a new chain to deal with the larger rear sprocket, I think 112 link but there is a table here on that will tell you for sure. For the speedometer you can buy a speedo healer ( http://www.healtech-electronics.com/ ) to get it correct but many of us just figure out how far off the numbers are in just do the conversion in our head. The bike leans a little with the X kickstand and R wheels but I don't find it to be a problem and have done the same thing.
Have fun | |

| thanks for the response - very helpful. I will just do it in my head. Also, did you convert yours from the X to R using the Warp 9 wheels/rotors/sprocket? If so, am I forgetting anything - other than the 112 link chain? Also, will it give me a bunch more torque for the more dirt oriented times? Sorry for the stupid questions.... | |

| Bunch more torque, not really. Noticeable difference, yes for sure. I run 12/47 with my dirt setup and 13/44 for my SM setup. You will need a chain, I run a 110link and can swap between 12/44-47 and 13/44-47 no prob. 13/47 will be much better but if you can mingle a 12 for the front it will give it even more. Still can do 70mph with dirt setup running 12/47.
I now with me, because I went R to X I had to deal with the front brake setup as the rotors are different size. However, going X to R I believe this is a none issue.

| With the Warp 9 X to R conversion the brakes are drop in, you just need to make sure you have the right size chain for your sprocket setup. The 13/47 you are looking to use is pretty common and works well for most people. | |

| Hello! I'm new to the forum (though I've been lurking for a while) and finally decided to sign up as there's such a wealth of knowledge here to be shared.
So, to that end -
I just went with the Warp 9 X to R wheels as well, they'll be here Monday and I hope to have them on the bike as soon as fresh rubber arrives. I'm considering the 606's as the majority of my riding is off road here in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado (sooo many rocks!). Any thoughts as to a suitable tire for my needs, any other Colorado riders feeling good about a particular tire model? Thanks in advance for any input and I'm happy to be on board here!

| These guys on here really know their stuff. I am learning a great deal. I do wish my little wr250x had some more umph to it....it seems as though it should have more response on the throttle but then again i have never ridden one before the one I bought so, I don't know what the norm is...? | |

Have fun I'm in the process of an R to X conversion and it seems despite the extra tooth on the sprocket of the stock X wheels both use the same chain with the same number of links, but a different amount of slack in the chain (verified by the parts breakdown from the online stores).

| Kamgolo, The original poster had gone to a 47 tooth rear sprocket which is why he needed a longer chain. | |
