| In my neck of the woods, the WR250 seems to hide behind bushes and trees only to come out when lured with $4500+. Thats some green paper i don't have right now, so i was checkin out this one WR, looks a little sketchy, need some of your Craigslist buyin' expertise on the post, tell me whats up. I need the lil 2fiddy to be street legal too, im not sure if all WRs are street legal or what, gimme the business :-)

| I believe that's a wr250 F
2008 was first model year of the wr250x/r.

| That sure looks like a WR250F in the craigslist ad. This is a totally different bike than the WR250R/X and also not street legal. Deals can be had for $3500 or so but you might have wait for a while or travel to get it. | |

| It's not like it's the deal of the century, but not bad. You should see it in person before going for it. So the first two owners used it for 3000 miles? This I don't like: - Quote :

I can understand the someone with and R drops it (off-road) sometimes but a X is a road bike. I would look for more damage then just scratches. Fork seals after 10k? Did he jump it? How is the rear shock? I always try and do as much background research as possible. Just to get a feel for this "adult owner" The biks WAS adult owned, but not IS adult owned... He is not your 'average commuter easy rider' type of guy.. He was active on a Nissan forum (notice the motorcycle in the background) and played with his Silvia, had a Civic stuff like that.

not bad, the motors on these things are pretty bullet proof, a few early 08's had fuel pump issues but even that;s not a super expensive fix, like $300 or so (maybe that will help you get him down a bit more), the seals shouldn't need replacing at those miles but maybe it's just from wheelies/stoppies, or the falls, ect. see if he will get you a few more pics and post them up but all in all, with the mods, ect, sounds fair but may have been rode a bit hard

these bikes are actually a decent investment for a motorcycle, i paid 4,995 for my new 08 wrr and 4yrs later i know i could get 3,500 out of it and i have so much fun on it!. my last bike was a yam xt225 that i picked up for 1,700 and rode the crap out of it then sold it for 1,200 5 yrs later! great, reliable bikes with high re-sale, i am a big yamaha ds fan!
