Alpine Loop Colorado. We were based in Lake City Colorado for this trip. The Alpine Loop is a National Scenic Byway located between Lake City, Ouray, Silverton and Creede Colorado in the Gunnison National Forrest and the San Juan National Forrests in South West Colorado. The bottom picture was taken at Califorrnia Pass ele. 12,930'. We rode all the trails in the background and it was like our little (big) playground for the week!

There are Black bears in the area but we did not get to see any on our trip. We did see some Moose, Elk, Mule and White Tail deer, and Marmot. A rancher had a bunch of sheep on the hillsides of one mountain, but I dont think thhat counts as "wildlife"...lol! Rolling Eyes
