Looking for a Rear Rack CAD file....

To anyone that has ever made their own rear rack for their WR250, would you by chance have a CAD file of it? I'm looking to make my own. I started on and attached a photo of what I'm sort of looking for.

Anyone? If so, let me know if I can get a copy of it. Thanks!

FYI - I also use Solidworks, so I can get it in just about any file type.

I made my own and also use SW but didn't bother drawing it up. I just laid it out quickly on the piece of .1875" Al I was going to use. Are you looking for anything specific?

Mainly the outer profile. I could take the rear fender off and bring it to work to use to model or draw it up but I thought it would be way easier to see if someone had a CAD file of any sort first. That would make a great start point for me.

Worst case, I print this one out 1:1 and lay it over the rear fender to see if it aligns properly, etc and adjust accordingly. Just thought it might be worth seeing if someone already drew up a profile similar and still had the file.

You misread my post. I am a Mechanical Engineer and use CAD (2D & 3D) on a daily basis already. I don't need CAD software but rather an existing CAD file of something similar to my original post. No sense in figuring that all out again if someone has a file sitting on their computer that they're kindly willing to share.

I can grab my and scan it on my MFU. I'll need only draw over it and scale before cutting from AL.

Anything you have that you could share would be awesome. I have the materials, machine ship and CAD.

In case you are wondering, the bolt spacing is 55mm X 70mm.

Can't help you with the outside dimensions but my pro-moto billet rack mounts up nicely with stock fender markings and tail light mounting points.

What I need mainly is the outer profile of that. Is it possible to get a scanned version of that with a few reference dimensions to allow me to scale it? Thanks again!

That is perfect. I can scale the .jpg in CAD and then dimension the rest to get my own design close. I talked with one of our vendors through that does anodizing and he's going to do it for nothing. I'll share some photos when I'm done.

Hope we could start a new thread with "Open Source" CAD files of different aftermarket parts. I have 2 CAD files: one for AIS blocking plate, second - frame holder for XENA brake disk lock...
