1-1/8 bar mounts

who makes an oversized bar mount for the wr250r,the pro taper site says theirs won't work with late model Yamaha bikes.what are you guys using.

i use Yamaha GYTR oversized clamps...

I am using the universal solid mounts.....they are on the same page as the ones you listed.

so other than the GYTR mounts that Fuzzy Wrench posted there are no aftermarket bar mounts for our bikes?i have to take my stock ones off and look at them but what is the difference with these bar mounts.is it the through bolt size or length that is different than say the pro tapert bar mounts that i posted a link to earlier.

I got the EVO bars...and protaper clamps!! love em!

which clamps did you buy? the protaper rubber, or solid ones? Do they both fit?

There the solid ones I believe, there the Henry/reed bars

I decided to get the Yamaha GYTR clamps as I'm hoping to get the Highway Dirth Bike hand guards eventually (they come with a nice 1pc top clamp)

does HDB make a bar mount for our bikes,last I checked Paul was working on it but it wasn't in production yet.

I love how smooth my evo bars feel. I have the rm low/ pastrana bend


had to use a deep socket and long shaft extension on the socket wrench.

What is the difference between the protaper solid mounts and the rubber ones.. they're the same price - Is one more appropriate than the other?

I prefer the rubber mounts as they reduce vibration to the handlebar.

I just ordered a set of the rubber mounts and the pro taper bars so ill be able to give a review on them as well

I have the Zeta RX2 clamps, theyre probably a bit pricey for most people but i liked the idea of them being made specifically for the wr250r/x so i knew it would fit perfectly :)
