Rear Rack Tube Empty
PostSubject: Rear Rack Tube   Rear Rack Tube EmptyMon Jul 08, 2013 10:45 pm

Well I have one of those small Rear Racks that I picked up off of eBay and generally find it pretty useless when it comes to tying things down due to its unique shape. However it is pretty handy to bolt brackets to and mount other stuff.

So this weekend I was out at Holly Springs National Forest doing a shakedown ride for our upcoming CO / UT ride at the end of July. I noticed that when I attached my Nomad loop bag I had some extra room at the back of the rack and an idea formed.

I found this piece of scrap in my 'Scrap Adoption' pile and bolted it onto the rack with some M6 button head cap screws and locknuts:

Then mounted up a piece of scrap PVC:

Got some Krylon Fusion blue paint that comes pretty close to the Yamaha blue so I will paint it up and do the final mounting.
