FMF Q4 Muffler Empty
PostSubject: FMF Q4 Muffler   FMF Q4 Muffler EmptyThu Mar 13, 2014 7:29 pm

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to install the muffler (and megabomb header) on my WR250R. I'm having a problem with the mid-pipe fastener.

Is it supposed to be one of those "speed-clip" style nuts? My stock bolt doesn't want to thread into it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I found that the passenger foot peg mount must be trimmed for it to fit right. I also used a longer bolt and a washer at the mid support.

I didn't have to trim anything with installing Q4 mufflers on either my WR-250R or WR-250X, but a slightly longer bolt is what I used.
I've read about others claiming the supplied bolt seemed a hair too short.

I had to grind the rear peg bracket and use longer bolts.  Both the front and rear mounting bolts that came with the Q4 were too short.
