After about 8 years absence from riding and getting old, I wrote the bucket list and the only thing was one more trip to the Colorado Mountains around Gunnison, Salida, Ouray and Silverton.  So, I bought two new WR250's and spent a few months prepping the bikes and riding a couple dual sport events in OR. The trip is now completed and I just wanted to thank some folks for this site and all the info I received in setting up the two WR250R's I bought for this trip for a friend and I.

Now that the trip is complete, one 2013 bike is going to be sold in OR and I may also sell mine in CA as I am not sure when I will be able to ride again at my age.  We will be parting out some of the great accessories we installed on these bikes.  So, stay tuned in the For Sale area as I will be listing items such as a  Yamalink with stiffer springs/adapters that should be used when using the links, Ironman sprocket, ROX bar risers, and a Moose skid plate.

So, thanks to folks here that posted stuff that helped us set up the bikes.  Here's a couple pics from my great journey.

Looks like a cool trip.

CO is on my list to go back to on the WRR, after being there several times on the street bike. There is just do much to explore beyond the capabilities of a street-biased bike.

Beautiful stuff. I took a VStrom 650 thru that territory for 6 days. One of the best trips of my life.

Not me! wink  That's my 48 year old friend that did the trip with me. Without him I could not have done it. None of my OLD friends ride anymore and since I had not ridden in 9 years, I needed a young guy to go.  He has gone on all my adventures starting in about 1995 and we rode enduro's together in the 90's.  He's an A enduro rider. cheers

Gotta friend, Harry, who I see several times a month at The Rock Store here in SoCal. He rides a new BMW GS, is about 5'7", one of just a few riders recognized by BMW to have logged over a million miles on BMW bikes and is 89yrs. old. Still rides major miles. Keep riding it'll keep you younger.

Gonna try to get to CO again next year for one more time.  My suspension is back at Go Race now for some tweaking.  wink

The bike doing the wheelie is for sale in Portland. All the accessories from it have been sold as planned and he is asking $5500 I think for the 2013 with 1200 miles. It has near new MT21's on it.

WOW sorry to see you go....I'm only 70 and ride pretty much every day....currently I have a WR with 30K on it, WeeStrom with 40k and a newer KTM 990 with just 10K, haven't really though of selling my rides and hanging up the helmet, I'm planning on riding until I tip over permanently....My wife rides too, she is in her sixty's and has three bikes, she riding pretty much rides every day too...we do long trips and short ones too until there is ice on the Montana roads.....Rico
