Weight loss! 20.59Lb off the bike!

I know there have been may posts on this topic - but I'm going ahead anyway!!

I removed all these parts from the bike and weighed them:

airbox flapper .....258g  0.57 free
stock tail (excluding tail light) 737g 1.62 free

FMF exhauts + programmer 4.5lb around $800
lithuim battery 3.1lb $160

20.59 Pounds Total

I've added a 3 Lb bash plate and hand guards, but not counting the hand guards as I also switch the stock steal bars for light weight Renthal bar so weight is about the same.

20 lbs to me is nothing off my 200 plus lb fat ass, I lost 130 lbs off my bike, took off the rear foot pegs now my wife cant ride on the back. I traded off my 800 lb harley so this bike seems pretty lite.

My fat as is near 215Lb! you're right as a % of total weight it in not much! But fun to get get it off anyway - the next 20lb is coming off my ass!

I installed the 3 gallon IMS tank and weight it and the stock tank. Both empty with out the fuel pump

IMS - 3,7 Lb
Stock - 5 Lb

That's pretty good.  roughly 20lbs lighter...295lbs wet..that's around 275lbs.  pretty good.  When I first bought my WR, I wasn't sure what the big deal was with the weight reduction.  Now, that I ride single track, I can see how weight can make a HUGE difference.  great post!!

I shaved over 37lbs off the AUW of my bike last winter.
