| I spoke with James at http://superplushsuspension.com and he has put a suspension upgrade package together for the WR250R. He can get the excellent results without using gold valves, saving you money.
Rear shock all in, revalve spring and parts $412. Forks all in, revalve springs and parts $499. Depending on their pace, riders in the 180 to 200 lb range may not need fork springs saving $145.

I'm taking my rear shock in 2 weeks and I will report on the results.

| I look forward to hearing your results. I keep putting off fixing my suspension. What can I say, I'm cheap. If someone has found a way to save a few bucks I'd love to hear about it. | |

Are you talking about a shop doing the work? Because you can get the Race Tech Gold Valves and a quart of suspension oil for less than $150 and do it all yourself: it's not that difficult, and there are extensive instructions on this site and on ADVrider.

| FWIW I paid $600 for my RT fork upgrade including compression Gold Valve, rebound Gold Valve, springs, and installation. (Fork springs were $150 of that.) Race Tech shock upgrade was $470 all in, including labor, RT Gold Valves, spring, and a new seal head. That's only $150 total increase over the prices you mention.
Not trying to be snarky but how do you know about the "excellent results" if you haven't ridden on this suspension yet? Also curious how you'll compare the value of the difference in performance vs. price between this setup and a Race Tech (or Go Race) setup?

You know that you can get a brand new Hyperpro shock for $500, right?

You know that you can get a brand new Hyperpro shock for $500, right? I did not know that. I'm new to the WR. Thanks.

| I've come to the following conclusions about suspension tuners;
1. It's impossible to compare them, most of them by all standards are industry experts. They've nearly all tuned for the pros and factory teams. They're all correct based on how they believe the suspension should behave.
2. It's more about finding a tuner and liking what is ultimately his vision of how to ideally set you up.
I've used Alex Martins at Konflict Motorsports, I can't even begin to understand how he does what he does. I just know that I like what he produces, and Konflict has awesome customer service.
As mere suspension mortals, how can we honestly compare what tuners are better than others?
The best thing you can do is be honest about your intent and ability when they start asking you questions.

You know that you can get a brand new Hyperpro shock for $500, right? I did not know that. I'm new to the WR. Thanks. The Hyperpro has a progressive spring which is not ideal for the WR, since it has a linkage. You want a linear spring. The west coast importer of Hyperpro, beemershop.com sells them under the other Hyperpro label Yacugar with a linear spring which preferable for rising rate linkages.

I'm taking my rear shock in 2 weeks and I will report on the results. That's right in line with what Go-Race charges. He also rebuilds the rear shock so it should be more reliable. I can personally vouch for the results. James may do great work as well of course. -morgan
