US supplier price/model chart... I'm guessin 500 for the emulsion and 750 for the reservoir... Wouldn't be a bad option at that price depending on performance... Keepin the stock... It's around 500 for go race rebuild and 200-300 on ebay for a used shock... That site doesn't have the wrr models listed yet... The highest listed is for a r1 at 950 tho.

| According to EPM (the U.S supplier) the shocks are now available from the factory in Holland. Custum built to weight and riding style, Warranty is 5 years and they come with a coupon for a FREE 1st service. Delivery is within 2 weeks.
Model 460 = YA02-0AD is $ 499.00 Model 461 = YA02-1AD is $ 749.00

**by the way, since Hyperpro are from Holland and has a lot of European dealers all across Europe: purchasing on-line from a European dealer is something also worth considering, particularly if he can offer low international shipping fee. the Euro currency is low now, and in addition: non-EU customers are always entitled to accumulated VAT reduction (around 20% reduction).

I'm confused... I live in US so naturally I'd look at us suppliers... Wait, does this mean they will pant my yohoooo goollllddd with order? If they thru that in for free I'd totally be down... Two times how would service and warranty work with purchasing them internationally? Seems it would be easier for someone in the us to buy from epm...

| By the way, Hyperpro is not the only option for a complete aftermarket rear-shock that will fit the WRR/WRX:
A. You can try to fit the WRR/X with a "Wilbers" rear shock (the 640 or the 642 model).
Wilbers make excellent suspension products. ->http://www.wilbers.de/ part# 640-0065-00 & part# 642-0065-00 (originally designed for the Yamaha WR250) part# 640-0065-01 & part# 642-0065-01 (originally designed for the Yamaha WR426F) naturally, this fitting will take a small amount of improvisation, but it's doable, and it works. note: on the Wilbers 640 model: the shock has adjustable rebound damping and threaded pre-load. on the Wilbers 642 model: this is a reservoir shock with piggy-back reservoir adjustable rebound and high/low speed compression damping and threaded pre-load. Once you order Wilbers part from a licensed dealer/importer: those shocks will be built to your weight and specs. (here is a link to Wilbers catalogs & list of authorized importers: http://www.wilbers.de/downloads.html the U.S importer is also the Hyperpro importer: EPM Performance)
B. There are some licensed Ohlins distributers & workshops, all around the world, that will build you a custom-made Ohlins rear shock (based on the S46PR1C2 model, or the S46PR1C1 model). For example:
*"G Sense" from Japan (they have built an Ohlins rear shock for the WRR a few years ago (for a specific "made to order"), and ever since it is on their regular "List of products".) http://gsense.jp/addmore/whatsnew/16961 http://japan.webike.net/products/21840719.html
*"Rooske" from Holland (very famous licensed Ohlins workshop & distributer in Europe) http://www.ohlins-rooske.nl/index.php?action=development
*"Fast bike industries" in the U.S
*"ÖHLINS FRANCE" - the exclusive distributor of the ÖHLINS brand in France (company also known as "PFP Racing") http://ohlins.fr/ http://ohlins.fr/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Catalogue-OHLINS-Moto-Quad-2013.pdf They are building (under the licence & in collaboration with the main Ohlins factory in Sweden) custom-made Ohlins suspension products for dozens of different motorcycles... including for the Yamaha WR250R & for the Yamaha WR250X: Part # YA 8820 PFP (the PFP suffix indicate that this item is custom-made by PFP-Ohlins France... and it is not part of the regular Ohlins product lineup). http://ohlins.fr/produits/moto/amortisseur-moto-yamaha-wr-250-r-2008-2008-ya-8820-pfp.html
PFP ÖHLINS FRANCE has a lot of distributers & retailers all across France. some of them can offer international shipping. http://ohlins.fr/instorepickup/index/index/ http://ohlins.fr/reseau-ohlins.html
Worthy of note: "2@4" https://www.2a4.fr/103216-amortisse...-yamaha-wr-250-r-2008-2008-3663469028625.html
"Motoblouz" & "Access-moto" two different web-sites of the same French company: "Motoblouz". http://www.motoblouz.com/vente-amortisseur-ohlins-arriere-20710.html http://www.access-moto.com/amortisseur-ohlins-arriere-20710-p.html
Note: If you are not an EU resident - you are entitled to French VAT reduction (~20% reduction in the price), and in addition access-moto.com currently has a coupon code: SUPERCOOL (this code will get you an additional 15% reduction). so that you can buy the "YA 8820" Ohlins rear shock (S46PR1C2 type) in a final price of 675 EURO. After you add shipping fee (e.g to the U.S) - around 20EURO -> the total price will be 695 EURO (~740 USD). which is an excellent price in my opinion. http://www.access-moto.com/amortisseur-ohlins-arriere-20710-p.html
By the way, in the past, before Ohlins came up with the modern TTX shock system- this "S46PR1C2 type" was the main Ohlins shock for most of 250cc enduro & mx motorcycles: http://www.bikehps.com/ohlins/ohlins_application_list.pdf
(Of course all Ohlins shock - no matter where you buy from - will always be "made to order" & will built to your weight and your personal specs).

| I think I may have been the first to use an HP shock on my WR in Morocco in March. I bought my WR last year off the boss of Hyperpro and, being an HP fan from previous bikes, got him to make the first one.
And guess what - WR is sold with OE shock, so I may be selling it if it can't fit my current bike (quite likely).

Shock is in UK. Will price it once it's removed and cleaned up, if anyone's interested.
Update: it's in the For Sale section
