| A recent rule change now allows single cylinder 250 streetbikes in the class. Could be fun racing some ninja 250's on shorter tracks. | |

| Please explain, and/or provide pictures on how a belly pan could be installed.....one that would hold 5 quarts of liquid.....on a X Having trouble understanding how that's gonna work. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| not positive but I think you can get away with a 3 quart one on the wrx many options depending how creative you want to get. you can get off cheap also. baking pan ( solid one, not the foil ) from the grocery store zip tied on. cut the bottom off a 5 gallon gas tank and zip tie that on.
I race mini motards with this guy... they are about $50 shipped http://www.webspawner.com/users/nicecarbon/

| Will do if I see one. My friend with a wr250x is planning on getting his out there. Trying to talk me into it, we will see if I can afford to get the race license or not. I am more worried about trying to adapt the steering damper from my f3 to work so I don't have to shell out for a scotts. WERA requires steering dampers. | |

| Yeah...they started the damper requirement back in the early 90's.
WERA needs a SUMO class.
The damper seems much more reasonable for stubby bared sportbikes going 150mph.
Seems redonkulous for an 85=90mph wide bared "dirt bike" style setup like we have. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Isn't Honda importing a cbr250r this year?
I wonder how the wr will match up against that?

| the ninja 250's will do 115mph or so, that will be huge on bigger tracks. I would assume it would be about the same with the new cbr 250's. I think TGPR would be a great track to take them on at. I highly doubt a wr could be competitive in the class for a season, but certain tracks could make for a fun day. | |

| But the cbr being new means it doesn't have the aftermarket behind it yet. Plus, I've not read anything about HP on the Honda. It might be closer to the wr. Maybe?
I know the baby ninja's will destroy the wr on the straights.....but in my mind racing is all about the turns.
I used to get blown away by 600cc sportbikes on Summit Point's main straight, and then reel them in over the next few corners with 200cc's less.
It was great fun. Looking forward to reading about the new E class.
