 Fastway pegs

Just started to mount these pegs in low position...nice little platform. My question is with so little movement of the peg up or down is there a compelling reason I must use the spring. The spring fit is not the best fit anyway. Just thought I'd ask. Putting the brake side on is a bit of a pain in the ass without removing the brake or having the appropriate star socket style wrench.

I suppose you could go with out them.

I didn't have an issue with the springs. My brake arm bolt is a 6MM allen and it zipped right off + I got a chance to lube the the brake arm bushing...

Oh yeah, I used R clips instead of those crappy cotter keys...
