FMF Powerbomb header cracked

So I've got a FMF Powerbomb header on my wrx..

I show up to tim horton's the other day to meet a friend to go for a ride..

He points at my header and says, "hey man did you know that you're head pipe was cracked ??"

I'm thought he was playing a joke since it was the first time he seen my bike in the daylight..

I go look and sure enough on the expanded pipe side of the weld the thing is cracked all the way around.. I checked for leaks and there were none.. But I don't want it to break in two..


I've emailed FMF to see what can be done as the pipe is just over a year old.. Still waiting to hear from them..

Anyone else have an FMF pipe crack on them??

I have an FMF header and no cracks. Any good weld shop should be able to fix it up fairly easy.

*Update*

Fmf returned my call the very next day.

Looks like they're gonna warranty it for me.. I just have to ship it back to them on my dime.. They're gonna send it back on their dime..

it seems to me that FMF should pay for all the shiping,,tome,,it looks like a defective weld..............just my 2 cents...Jason

I agree with the poor quality weld on this one, the majority of the bead looks to be on the smaller diameter pipe with very little penetration into the large pipe. Good on FMF for making it right.

So I received the Powerbomb back from FMF.. I must say, they did an awesome job at fixing the cracked weld.. They sand blasted it also.. It looks brand new..
