Well,
I can't believe I did this but I sold my WR.
Wish Yamaha made a street legal 450 but they don't.Good bye my love 911463
Ended up with a Husky 449. Little higher maint.
Wish I could afford both but allas Only one bike in the budget.
I will still be watching this forum because I think it is the best most well layed out and informative around.
The wr performed flawlessly while I worked in Idaho. Put on a little over 1000mi on the weekends in the mountains.Good bye my love 93746

Go on. Toss off wanker. Hit the road. Take a hike. Hasta la vista. Tah tah.

But seriously, stay in touch. I'd like to hear your comparisons / opinions down the road, esp. on servicing and what you do geometry wise to make it turn well. Love the looks!

Pics coming.

My opinion is.

1. I love my WR. easy fun to ride. with the fmf pipe it sounds super way cool.

Ironically the 250 will lug down better than the 449. I had 13 48 gearing, UNI filter PC-5 Dunlop 606s.

Due to work Good bye my love 490865 I have only 50 mi on the Husky.

So far My observations.

It flat rips. I have the power up mod from the factory. and cycra bark busters with stock gearing.

It will go from zero to OH Shit really quick.
the 449 does not stretch your arms but has a friendly power band.Good bye my love 93746

I rode it through the woods were I rode my WR and things happen quickly I think changing the gearing may help.

I got it stuck in a big mud hole and got it out easy enough 250lbs is nice. The tight woods stuff is a work out but doable.

haven't done more than ten road miles so jury is still out on that.
The WR I think at this point seems to be better at the leasure all around riding while the husky may work out that way eventually "remember only 50 mi on it"

It, Like my wr needs to be customized for my riding, which is everything.

more input coming with more miles. and pics also
