popping, backfiring okay?

so as most of you know I installed my fmf pc4 pipe and fmf fuel programer...

well any who I think i have finally settled on The numbers I like with the programer! Very happy

Only thing is every once and a while it will pop on decel..mainly in like 5th or 6th gear wide open then letting off completly.

my guess is its just because of the rich mixture at WOT then quickly letting off the throttle.....in return its igniting some of the un burnt gas....i know its not BAD! for the bike but just wanting to know if anyone elses bike pops and backfires a little....maybe a part of it is because I have no cat any more.

What numbers you running?

And yes - a pop here and there happens from time to time. No biggie...

Mine "gurgles" when you chop the throttle. Backfiring is completely different, more like a gunshot. A little popping on decel is normal.

Yeah I guess it's more of just a gurgle and a pop but every so often it louder like a gun shot..
