valves not checked at 600 mi?

dropped my new bike off for first oil/checkup and nowhere on the invoice did it say that the valve clearance was adjusted. I called and asked one of the maint. guys and he is going to look into it. I'm concerned, how can I tell , I bet I can't and if I can't, will I hurt the bike or notice running lean or somethin?

check the manual i think it is 40,000km mark or around there.

That was common when street bikes used rocker arm and screw-type tappet adjusters.
For the most part, the days of checking valve clearances at the 600-mile service faded away when shim-under-bucket valve actuation became common.

I bet the vast majority of motorcycle techs will insist it's simply not needed to be checked at 600 miles.
