Rev counter Empty
PostSubject: Rev counter   Rev counter EmptyWed Jan 01, 2014 2:43 pm

Since installing the athena BIG BORE kit, iv been curious about the revs and where it is pulling best.
So I came across this little gizmo from "Stage6".
Rev counter, digital and bar graph.
2 x temperature inputs.
Iv had a few problems with the rev counter when the 12v supply is connected up for the back light, this is down to how the coil on our bikes is fed. Iv put a couple of resistors in the back light supply feed cable, and this seems to of got around this problem. If not I can connect the back light up using a 9v battery and everything works fine.
The other option is an isolated power module DC to DC converter.
Iv connected one of the temperature sensors upto the oil circuit and the other one will be connected up to the water pipe when I receive an inline fitting.
I'm just going to test it now, over the next few weeks to see how it goes !
