The YZ 250 was finally overhauled by Yami.

EFI and major chassis redesign (following the 450F). Anybody ride one yet?

I suspect the WR250F, which does not have a 2014 model will be overhauled for 2015 with EFI. Unless it was discontinued?

The future is EFI, jetting carbs will be a lost art.

Unfortunately this is so true. Laptop EFI tuning is clean & easy but sometimes a carb is much simpler & cheaper to tune. Also, if something goes wrong in the PCM or any sensors, the bike probably won't run. You can usually get an older carb bike going with a little "know how" even way out in the boonies. Old tech machines work when high tech electronics fry or lose electrical power.

As long as those electrical issues aren't ignition related.  Asked me how I know.  My WR450 is carb'd - left me sit last ride out!

I'll take the throttle response of EFI over any real or imagined benefits of Carb any day.
