Subject: Is wr250f oil filter same as wrx? Mon Sep 27, 2010 7:09 pm
I'm about to buy some oil from a local amsoil dealer, and he said he has it in stock, and he "thinks" it should work. He said if it doesn't work I can return it, but I'd rather know ahead of time. So does anyone on here know for sure?

I think I might've found an answer to my own question... according to K&N website the filter is the same for a bunch of bikes, including wr250x/r and wr250f

i can confirm that the wr250x/r/f use the same oil filter as wr450f. straight from yamaha parts prog.

It would actually depend on what model year WR-250F. 2001 and 2002 model WR-250Fs took a different oil filter, a metal mesh one that was first used on the YFM-350XT Warrior ATV.
