Winter of 2013-2014 - Kiss My ASS

God damn this has been one of the most god-awful winters I can remember.

Way too much snow, bitter cold for looooooooooooonnnnggggg stretches, biting wind.....

I used to be able to get out and ride at least once a month through most winters. There'd almost always be a day when temps would push up into mid to upper 40's.

NOT this year.    


I'm serious - WINTER 2013-2014,  here's a big F U to you, you fucker...

(and yes, I'm aware it's now technically spring...but yesterday's snow and 20 degree temps with bitter winds tells me otherwise.....)

hehe not to rub it in but we've had the warmest winter for years here in germany   

by the 12th of march we've had as many hours of sunshine as we usually get in the whole month

I'm with you, Motokid. I am a few miles north of you. I usually ride through the winter, at least a couple times a month. Not this year. I have ridden three times I think since November.   

The forecast for next week is starting to look more like normal spring, so hopefully the end is near.

Normally I like winter, I go trail riding with studed tires once the sleds and atvs get it packed down a bit but this winter I only got out a couple of times as it snows or thaws out so often its never packed down for more than a few days.

Haven't stopped riding out here in BC other than for maybe a week or two where some white stuff made a brief appearance......west is best my man......

  

A few minutes ago ...

Been at the track riding MX every Sunday!  Unless the track is muddy, then I'll ride street. I don't ride Saturdays because I'm always golfing.

I feel for you guys. It's been brutal, even deep into the south. My other office is in Ohio. I have avoided it like the plague this winter.

But hey! Next week it's April! April showers bring May flowers, right?   

i envy the crap outta you all, my winters been good and there is no way id be able to get the bike out of the garage... Spring here seems worse then the harshest of days you get lol i wonder if ill get 4 months of riding

Haven't heard a peep from the environmentalists about global warming for quite awhile. Looks like their theory about man made emissions may not be so true after the record cold period we had this winter. Even Texas and Florida got freezing temps and snow!

Not that im a environmentalists or pay much attention to that kind of stuff but global warming also causes colder winters with more wild changes in temps and weather, like getting snow in florida.

I'm tellin' the Obama thought police about this thread.
