| Hey gang, heres some pictures of my licenplate-holder/ taillight mod. Looks pretty clean regarding the setup, and the rear light stays pretty clean aswell. The blinkers, not so much Its a combination of a modified stock mount, and an universal fender with lights, just like the cheap ones on ebay. I changed the light for one that was a bit brighter, and used rtv to seal the edges, wires ect.. I havent cleaned the taillight, eventhough it looks funny that it stays clean, with the blinkers and the rest of the bike being covered in mud. The blinkers clean easely, with a wipe of a finger. So its easy to clean when you get back on the street, I'm not loosing any sleep over it, thats for sure. So heres some inspiration: | |

| Looks good This is very similar to what im going to run as soon as I get around to installing my tusk light. I had a very similar set up on my last bike a gasgas, the plate gets covered but the light stays clean just like yours. I think the reason this setup works is theres no gap between the light and plate at all for mud to go up through and cover the light, the light is sealed off form dirt above the fender/plate holder part. This is whats missing with the drc edge light and most modded stock lights, if you can see the tire when you look between the plate and the light its gonna get covered with mud. Heres my 30 dollar (us) tusk light, I mounted it a little behind the rear fender to keep me cleaner, I could've just as easily and had the light right under the fender. | |
