WolfMan makes a nice front bag.
Prefer to remove my gear and keep it in my tent if the campground is packed. The easier it is to remove my gear, the less excuse there is to be lazy...
Admittedly 'quick-release' makes theft easier, but from my experience, hasty thief cut straps with knife... cuz he also lazy. So if the bag is in the tent, he's got to come in after it... and I have a knife too
Kept the buckles for one time adjustment, but abandoned the concept of running long straps all the away around the bars and fork tubes with the tedious chore of threading and unthreading FOUR buckles any time the bag goes on or off. Borrowed an idea from my Touratech bags, where lower "strands" hook around aluminum spindle mounts at the fender, and welded up some stainless home made hooks, that connect up top to the elongated slots in my HDB hand protectors.
Now I can literally install or remove the bag in seconds. Less time than it previously took to address one buckle, much less FOUR.
