Identify these parts please?

Hi all,
when i bought my WRR, the PO gave me a box of parts from his mods. Can you identify these 2 for me please? The first one is apparently a 'diaphram" according to the parts fiche. I dont know what mod that was a part of ..the airbox mod? The second one is completely beyond me...

They're both parts removed when the airbox flapper mod is done.
The top image is a diaphragm and the bottom image is of an electric solenoid used to control that diaphragm.
