Hello all, I've been riding my kdx220r for years now and I ride mostly on the trails of hatfield mcoy in WV. I'm getting older and am thinking now of riding the trails thru the mountains and doing the return trip on the blacktop roads. Would anyone here on this forum be able to tell me how the wr250r compares to my kdx220r. I know its gonna be a heavier bike but im slowing down a bit. the kdx has been a wonderful trail bike and has never let me down. Thanks.

I had a KDX220 when I was strictly riding offroad. It was a great bike. I now have a WR250R which is also great, but in different ways.

The KDX was much more responsive to a twist of the throttle, easy to loft the front wheel and throw it around.

The WR is heavier and more subdued, but still a lot of fun on the trails. It is also a decent street bike, which the KDX really isn't.
