Musko Moto Rackless bags which one the best size for Wr

I am doing wild camping.

Coming from BMW R1200GSA.

Check out the Reckless 80L. It is pretty spacious.

I recently purchased the Reckless 40L V2.0 along with the Stinger 20L tail bag for my WR250R for an upcoming GDR ride in 2020, I added the Nomad tank bag and the setup is solid with plenty of room. I wasn't sure between the 40 and the 80 as far as one not having enough room and the other too much. The 40L with the 22L tail bag is perfect, bike is solid with this combination.

@Shake-n-bake how far do these bags stick out the side from the side? Do they stick out further than the handle bars when fully loaded?

No, they are still inside the handlebar width. A little hard to throw a leg over but otherwise, pretty cool set up.

Just got the mosko reckless 80 mounted (with dummy stuffing in the bags). Doesn’t seem too bulky, though I haven’t taken it off-road yet

I got the R40 a few months ago, was really disappointed with the fit on the WRR (documented this on the ADVrider Mosko forum), and returned it. Customer service is also lacking.

There are better options out there that also happen to be cheaper.

Took the WR out with the Mosko Reckless 80s to the Olympic Peninsula for an overnight last weekend.   Another WR, also with Mosko 80 and 2 Honda Monkeys outfitted for offroad joined me.   We did most of the Advpulse Day 4 section.  https://www.advpulse.com/adv-rides/ride-washington-olympic-peninsula/

Riding out there is fairly sedate, with narrow two track packed gravel for the most part - the Monkeys struggled a little, but wasn't too bad even for them.

The Mosko 80s worked great.  I love the system and it's ease of use.   Plenty of volume.    Packing up takes a little more time due to all the buckles that need to be attached and straps tensioned.  Refolding and velcroing the strap tails is a little bothersome.  I need to cut some of the tails off the straps to make this easier.

I originally mounted the Reckless 80s directly to the rear fender.  The rear straps had to route awkwardly around the tail light.  It would work like that, but it's not optimal.  Just before the ride i mounted a Scaggs large rack which made the Reckless mounting a little better.   The bags do sit a little unevenly due to resting on the exhaust on the right side.

I was a little annoyed with the top bag crowding me forward.  I'm 6'5".  With a shorter rider it probably wouldn't have been as annoying.

Just got the reckless 10s for day trips and minimalist camping. Seems nice, don’t really notice they’re there. Enough room for tools, water, snacks, jacket on top. Probably not enough for camping without a duffel for the bag, tent, stove and food.
