It has been a good while since i replaced my original pump with a factory oe pump..which also failed. I used the ebay chinese pump (probably all from China anyways) for the 3rd pump repair and it has been 100% reliable since
Aside from the small hassle of taking the pump housing apart it was not too bad of a deal to do.
Hope this info helps some folks. I was really let down over this deal and near selling it when this bad pump deal first happened.
I started this thread (old screen name of Dirtytrixx400) and all the info added really helped me get my bike reliable again
