Starting in the next few weeks to take a brand new 2019 WR250R and modify for an upcoming trip from Roosville, MT border crossing to Antelope Wells, NM border crossing along the Continental Divide route. A roughly 2,700 mile trip with 3 friends all on WR250Rs, a 2008, 2011, 2018 and 2019 models.
My bike is the 2018, my friend Cricket's bike is the 2019 project bike. We will be documenting the build and sharing on social media once we get started, social links will be provided for those interested in seeing the process. Below is the list of mods being performed:
Ais removal, smog block off, add FMF Megabomb header and Q4 installation
Airbox ventilation with 1" uni filters, Replace stock air filter with uni filter
Replace stock bars with Pro Taper Pastrana bars, 1-1/8th with riser, add heated grips
Add Thumper Jockey Auxiliary lights, add waterproof switch, Barkbuster hand guards, Double Take mirrors and Eklipes charging station
Replace stock halogen light with Cyclops LED
Replace turn signals and rear fender light with DRC kit
Add rear rack, Tusk
Remove Exup valve and servo, add Exup emulator
Replace stock seat with low Seat Concepts seat
Add Yamalink and lower rear shock and front forks
Replace stock kickstand with WR250X shorter kickstand
Change stock gearing tp 14X50, new longer chain to accommodate gearing, Renthal 50t
Replace stock tires with Dunlop D606 rear and Pirelli MT-21 front
Add Flatland Racing skidplate and radiator guard
Add Moose Racing headlight grill
Replace stock pegs with Zeta wide pegs
Add EJK fuel programmer
Replace stock fuel tank with IMS 3 gallon tank
Replace stock battery with Lithium battery, add terminal tenders
