| Who's got a better solution for seat mounting hardware. I didn't say bolts, because I didn't want to limit the discussion. Yesh, both my boy and I have one bolt each now, after he lost both of his to the vibration monster on the trail. | |

| I've got wingnuts on mine. Fast removal and install, snugs down great and haven't lost anything to this day. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I think best solution is to use a small dab of the blue loctite on the seat bolts, plus there are other bolts on the bike that should have some blue loctite on them.... (The image is not of bolts from the bike but just an example of how much loctite is needed.) | |

| Give me a sec Dan, not sure if I already have pics of them. If not I'll go take one. **EDIT** Ok, went and took pix. I had torx bolts in my misc box o parts. They work incredibly well. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.'

| I am a big fan of the the blue, but I was thinking of trying lock washers instead. I am always taking the seat off. Anyone had a go with this idea. | |

| Can't see why lock washer's wouldn't work. Yeah yeah, I know my bike is still dirty. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| Thanks Wolfie I'll go dig around the fastener aisle at the big box hardware store I guess. I was thinking someone would say, "Yeah, I found an aluminum faster than you just flex your big toe while tugging on your earlobe and it pops right off--but it has 50,000lbs of retention otherwise" Something like this >>> http://www.jegs.com/i/Moroso/710/71510/10002/-1?parentProductId=748742 | |

| That would be neat, although you'd have to pull the skin off the seat and dig under the foam to the pan, and somehow affix the base to it and keep it there. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I use spring washers and they seem to work good. | |
