| This shows the hole where the AIS unit used to be and the plug that was connected to it. I guess its ok to just zip tie this plug somewhare out of the way? This bugger did NOT want to come off!! Krabill's kit is on the way... | |

| The AIS introduce air to burn the left-over fuel, so you will have a cleaner burning process...
When you change your exhaust (may it be head pipe alone or full system), the AIS is not affected...
I removed mine basically just to clean up the outline of the bike, as well as minimising the popping when decelerating...

| Undo this zip tie right here and use it to capture that loose end. | |

| Follow the large hose from the AIS unit, over the head and around to the left side Cap it with the part supplied with Krabill's kitRemove metal pipe between AIS unit and cylinder Save your metal gasket and re-use it behind Krabill's block-off platehere is a diagram of the AIS system so you can visualize what you are removing | |

| I took my AIS off the other day. I cut the metal tube off and welded up the hole and bolted it back on. I'll take a photo of it when I get home and post it up. Saves about 17oz of weight | |

| Its for the FMF header. The instructions said to use some. I suppose I went overboard, but heck, it doesn't leak. | |

I now have a yellow knob. Somehow I was envisioning you would find a purple one. Has anyone removed the the AIS and still have the stock exhaust? If so how is it running? I had heard elsewhere that there would be off-idle stumbling by removing the AIS and retaining the stock exhaust. I haven't replaced my exhaust because A. I haven't decided on which one is quietest and B. I'm cheap!

| I have full stock exhaust. So far, nothing. BigDog is running the same setup; stock exhaust. He's got more miles on his and so far he hasn't had a problem, so he told me. If I could find a purple knob for my boy, he would have one. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I never touched any hose except the one coming off the AIS to the airbox. One thing I have noticed is the little pop on decel is gone. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |
