| I'm going to toss this one out there as well. I have been talking to Ian from Britannia Composites about windshields for our bikes, one of which he's been working on. This windshield will be fully retractable when off road, and then can be brought back up to buffer wind on the pavement. The headlight shroud is made of a special composite, houses 2 Hella Rally lights (an HID kit can be supplied instead if one would rather go with that system), and comes complete with a plug and play wire harness, that will fit up and match with the streamlining of the front fender. This will replace the entire stock headlight shroud on the bike. Each windshield system is hand made, one at a time. I will be sent pics some time tomorrow to post. Expected release is the end of July. Price will be $465 USD/CAD. I have asked about a group discount, and Ian will get back to me. It all depends on how many would be interested in something like this.
You can take a look here to see what the unit will look like in a sense. The complete unit will be a modified version of the Lynx setup, but way cooler.

| That is def a cool piece. I can't say I would be interested for quite a while but it is really cool. Not really looking for a windscreen but the lighting part of it is nice. and if it mounts to our fender properly that would be a bonus. I guess maybe I'll have to see the actual product for our bikes. | |

| I'm almost as bad as you myself. At this point, BSing with a Husky or KTM guy, I can't say that I didn't get either of those bikes because of the price factor because I'm pretty sure I passed the stock prices of either bike by now. | |

| Dang it! I picked up a Lynx of a friends bike that needed the money and have been waiting to source an electrical connector so I could fit it up. I was doing ti on the sly and wanted it to be a surprise. Mine has the HIDs too | |

| Before shelling out for HID you should put Sylvania Silverstar Ultras in there. I am running an Acerbis Cyclops on my WR and the Ultras are pretty ridiculous, especially after I modified the lights to both be on when in High beam mode. | |

| That is a pretty major rework from the one I have. I may need to rethink mine as I hadn't considered mounting the fender. I sent Ian a pm about a wiring connector but haven't heard back from him. Hopefully these will be available in white, black and blue. I like white myself. I am sure blue will be popular and I know they will do a great job matching the color. | |

| Cool. Subscribed. Looks like a longer brake line will be need. Add a steel braid to the kit? | |

| only downside i see to this light: doesn't look like there's enough clearance to run HDB guards.. or is my perception off? | |

Hi Guys, Just got back from my first ride on the 250 and I am absolutely blown away by it !! Much prefer it to the 610 it replaced. Anyway, on to more important things ! The mold will be finished this week and I hope to have the first one fitted to my bike next week. Pictures and test results to follow. I currently am having the blue colour matched. Cheers Ian

It was great. Much cooler than it usually is, which was much better and less dust ! The whole thing was made even better by how pleased I am with the bike. It took a while to get used to not having the tractor power of the 610, but its just a case of adjusting the riding style and changing gear more often ! The suspension is way better than the Husky and its a lot more comfortable and relaxing to ride. All I have to do is try and solve the horrible noise I am getting from the skidplate. I took it off yesterday just to see the difference and couldnt believe how much quieter it is. Any solutions ? - Sorry wrong thread ! Ian

| No worries. Try throwing some canopy foam tape in between it and the frame rails. You could try spraying the inside of it with rubber undercoating too. _________________ A wolf's voice echoed down the mountain 'Share the bounty of the hunt with your brothers and sisters, and forever be strong and free.' | |

| I really like this idea, and I was looking at the Lynx setup before. But I just don't like the look. :( Just my personal opinion. I like the styling on something like the Tenere or Super Tenere much better. | |

| How much weight does it add? Up high and on the front... every oz is amplified. I guess it is either the WS or earplugs for a long hiway stretch though... | |
