Now, I only took my helmet off for the 5 seconds to take the shot, and at about 7 mph. However, it would have been funny to hit a rock under the mud and go into it face first.
THAT would have been a picture...

Yes, in Laguna Beach. I ride all over town, cdm and newport checking the surf and what not.

I shoot out to Saddleback all the time for quick fixes, and do Big Bear/Silverado/Arrowhead trips every so often.

Thought that mountain mud looked familiar too. And I could show you how to face plant for sure!

For sure. I work with a guy who has one as well, and he has a truck to throw'em all in...

I've got a truck and a trailer and a toyhauler... We (the girl and I with friends) usually spend the W/Es out in the desert (Cal City).

The days are so short now it's hard to drive somewhere and then ride. Impossible until after New Years (we'll be in Cal City from th day after XMAS to the day after New Years).

I'd like to do that "Gus" ride on the back side of Silverlake, but with winter weather it may be sketchy.

I know a lil DS ride out of Santiago/Santa Ana cyn. over to Lake Elsinore (over the top to the radio towers).

We could start/end at our house in Anaheim Hills (BBQ/Jacuzzi/Beer after the ride.)

Any other suggestions ?
