You want that fifth number at, or over 6 deal

I can't imagine what kind of riding you're doing on an R to be getting under 50 mpg.

Only thing I can think of is either lots of super-slab highway miles at over 65mph, or a shit-load of wheel spin in off-road conditions.

There's people here on R's that are getting 60-75 mpg and claim to not be pussy-footing around.

I love to live on the rev limiter on my X and am consistently in the 55mpg range.

i was just driving around town to work and back with the max speed limit at 40MPH and my gas light went off at 58 miles. it went away but came back a 60 miles.

i filled up and confirmed that i had actually burned a gallon and a half of fuel. maybe bad gas? dunno, but i am willing to test it out again in the name of science.
