My hr meter/tach install

I picked up a Hardline Hr meter/tach


I already had this bracket from Works Connection


With tank removed (I like the slick quick connect fittings just like our YFZR's) I wrapped the wire around the coil/spark plug cap.


Bracket mounts to the tank hold down location. I had to use a hex head bolt with 8mm hex, but a socket head cap screw would also work.


All done with the motor running.

Sweet...although the package says it only goes to 9,000 rpm's.

You got 2,000 more to left in engine.

Still pretty cool.

The rev limiter will tell me when I reach 11k. LOL

Picked one up yesterday and the new ones have a 16000 limit.

I have a Trail Tech Vapor and my Tach is all over the place. I have my wire wrapped around the coil below the seal.
I'm going to try above the seal, like yours and see if my readings are more accurate.
