| Tuesday I bought a WR250X, and today was the first chance I had to ride it more than just around the block. What a blast! I haven't seen any used R's around, so when I saw this used X, I couldn't pass it up. I'll be getting a 21" front wheel and putting knobby's on it, for mostly trail riding. I did a 50 mile loop this morning, the first 15 where highway and 70 mph was really comfortable. The last 35 miles were dirt power line roads and singletrack. Supermotor tires are not ideal for rocks and sand, but it was still fun. No mods have been done yet. Once I get a 21" wheel on it I'll start on some of the mods. It's pretty much stock, except for the tail light, license plate light, and the turnsignals. Here are a few pictures of the desert and the X, north of Tucson. | |

GPS 70, speedo 76. I also got 65 mpg, but that was with the bike odometer.

How'd they handle? Like dog doo in the dirt and sand! I haven't had this bike long enough to ride any twisty's, but in the neighborhood they seem just fine.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. SheWolf, BC is my favorite part of Canada. The roads are awesome. Some day I'd like to try some off road riding.
