| Should be fairly easy to straighten. | |

| Yeah, I am gonna try that first. But a lot of the time these levers bend once, you try to bend them back and they break. Hopefully that will not happen. | |

| The lever itself didn't bend. Just the tab where your foot presses on. | |

LOL...its not a desert down here...not just all sand..there is plenty of stuff to hit..trees, stumps, junk, some rocks, etc. - trav72 wrote:

Funny. I am not always behind you...you mess up enough corners, I get by. And yesterday, I was right near you for most of the day. Being in front is only a couple weekends away.

| Pics The end piece, is held on with a large pin or rivet, if you will. Looks like they planned it that way. if this piece breaks, a bolt could easily be put through that exact hole. I did what I could to bend it back. I was getting the feeling if I hammered on it anymore, the whole thing was gonna break. I had another piece of metal bent up to add over it and make it wider, but could be it being an issue with hitting the rear brake with out trying to. Before: .. .. After: .. .. Not a huge difference, but you actually do notice it when you are used to the contact point being a little closer outboard. I also took out the waterproof grease and coated the shaft of the shoulder bolt, before installing the brake lever again...there was no grease left on there. | |

Brake saver Any pics? And how does this help when you fall on the right side, and bend the brake pedal inward? TIA

| What type of skid plate do you have? I have the Flatlands and it seems to stick out just far enough where it will protect the brake lever a little. | |

| Nope the one I got was $27. I took out two brake levers on long rides, one on an XT350 and one on a DR650 both ended up being "U" shaped I also made a "U" shaped shift lever on a CRF at Moab one year---all of them done on rocks, two in deep snow. Anyway have tried to carry a shift lever and brake lever since when I'm doing long rides--your post made me remember that I had not acquired one for the WRR. - DougZ wrote:
