I noticed in some of the photos some riders have wider tires than came stock. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this setup? Will the wider tires fit on the stock rims?

Pictures don't lie dude.

Advantages being that you can get a much broader set of choices for tires.

I would say a person should choose the tire that suits them best...first.
Then choose the vehicle that best compliments that tire.
but that's just me...drinkin
