Athena 290CC Big Bore Piston Life

Recently purchased Athena 290 Big Bore Kit for 2008 WR250R. On unpacking kit found documentation suggesting replacing
piston every 15 hours. If you have fitted this kit to your WR what hours/kilometres are you getting from the Athena piston.

I was hoping this would be a once only upgrade.

Others have asked about this concern in the past on this message board.
People using this kit have basically said there are no issues with using the bike just like they always have, going well past 15 hours, and, it's believed that the 15 hours is stated as a form of cover-your-ass liability protection for the company producing the kit.

Thats a relief knowing I'll get more than 15 hours out of the piston.
