I joined in on a semi-organized dual sport ride in early Nov. called the East Texas 450. About 35 riders met up in Livingston Texas for a 3 day ride (loop) through east Texas. It was a really nice ride! There are some national forests through this area. Not many vistas to have a view from. But still nice country. Here are a few pics I took. I named my WR "Tink" as in Tinkerbell. She rides like fairy dust has been sprinkled on!
Tink in full Adventure mode. This is at 4:30 AM in 38 degree weather. It was 90 miles to Livingston for the start of the ride. Heated grips were well worth the money!
9 mile road near Toledo Bend Lake. Was wishing it was longer!
Somewhere in East Texas when we came out of the firest. This guy did the break in on a brand new KTM 450 on this ride.
Taking a break on day 2. Typical road through Davy Crockett National Forest
Here is a link to the Two Wheeled Texans forum where many of the riders posted pics and video clips. This was a really nice ride.
