Looking for history

Hello all, my son and I are looking to get WR250R's for woods riding as our DR650's are a bit heavy. Wondering if there is a good writeup somewhere on the differences between the years?

There really isn't any difference between the years. Main is the 2008's had sprockets with rubber rings around the edge for... well no real good reason other than to make the sprocket skip if tension wasn't perfect and some spotty fuel pump issues with '08's. In 2010 the forks were gold colored instead of silver. Otherwise, the only thing that really changed were graphics.

Paint color is the only difference.

2008's had some fuel pump issues.

2009-2012 are colors.
