Front sprocket nut, reusable?

Is the WR250 front sprocket nut single use?

If it is, it's a bit spendy ($12 at Canada Yamaha dealer) for those of us with X and R wheels who use a different front sprocket size when swapping between wheel sets.

Any decent online sources for those nuts?

You mean in theory, or in practice?

I've removed and reused mine. 10,000 miles strong.

Not a single worry or sign of it being a throw-away item.

Of course, I didn't re-peen mine over, but then I don't think the Yamaha tech who put it on peened it either.

I'm thinking you're more than safe to re-use it.

I'll check to see if mine was peened from the factory. And I'll carry a spare with me.
And I have the Sandman guard/case-saver.

I always re-use them. I think you will be fine like motokid said.

I re use mine. I did have it come loose once so I now use a little blue loc tite on it to be sure. No peening.
