Hi,

I have a 2008 WR250R, and I'm thinking about having the suspension worked on. I weigh 150 lb without gear. The Race Tech online calculator says I need a slightly lighter fork spring. OK, I can believe that. However it says that stock rear spring is 7.7 kg/mm and I need an 8.82 kg/mm spring. That makes no sense to me based on the sag numbers I'm getting. Do I really need a heavier shock spring? Thanks.

No the stock springs fine for your weight, trust your sag numbers.
Their calculator has been know to be off on other bikes as well, for some reason its only off for light riders tho.
I went with what the calculator said I needed, im 245lbs and run a 9.4 race techs calculator said I needed a 9.6 but 9.4 was the closest one they have.
Its mesed up if a 245 guy needs a 9.4 a 150 lbs guy cant need a 8.8, those springs are pretty close.
The 9.4 seams like the right spring for me based on my sag numbers and the fact that the shock works awesome, I have the gold valve kit too.
