FMF megabomb weld crack

Subject: FMF megabomb weld crack Mon Mar 18, 2013 4:50 pm

I've had the Q4/megabomb package for a few years now on my 08 WRR and have taken good care of both. Found a crack in the first weld from the cylinder that goes about 3/4 of the way around the weld. Has anyone else had this problem? Trying to deiced if its bad luck or a bad product. Don't want to wast more money on something that is just going to brake and possibly fuck up my bike.

I've got a 4 y.o. Q4/Powerbomb -- welds are fine.

If its over a year old I doubt they'll cover it.. The same thing happened to a fmf header I had on my yfz. I took it to a local race shop and had it welded for around $30, just make sure you have it tig welded.

I contacted FMF and they said because its been more than a year it was no longer warranted. I guess i'll have it welded.

Mine blew completely a part at the weld. They did NOT warranty it.
