4/08 build, wr250x, 9200 miles, finally getting that hot weather fuel pump on/off issue I've read so much about.

I have no problem replacing the pump, but looking to save $100 and just because, I'm planning to replace just the pump not the assembly, using
CaCycleworks' fp-wr pump.

I just noticed that someone has just replaced their fuel pump, two post lower than mine.[i]My question: Does anybody know how to take off (without breaking) and reinstall the fuel filter coupling?  That's the part that has me stumped.dunno
If anybody has their old non working assembly they would like to sacrifice to science, I'd be more than happy to pay postage.

thanks for your help
