| I have that horn sitting in a box. I've been trying to figure out where to put it. Interesting location. Did you need to fabricate a bracket? | |

| I can't tell you how many times over that horn would have been destroyed by now with my riding. | |

| The problem with this horn is that it is big and bulky. I think I remember it's possible to disassemble the compressor from the rest of the horn. I might do that and locate the compressor where the AIS used to be. | |

| Yes I fabed up a flat piece of aluminum. The wiring was easy. They make a little wiring kit with relay. Covered all the wires in heat srink tubing. Most people dont even notice it. | |

| ...until they hear it.. On my drz, i put it in front of the radiator. It might fit on the non radiator side. Unless one crashes violently, it should be ok. Things always get broken in crashes. Mine survived many. scotty | |

| It fitted fine on my old Africa Twin and sure enough speaks the language of African driving when I was out there but I can't see it fitting that well on the WR² | |

| She comes with a factory installed air horn... If I pinch her tits hard enough, she will squeal super loud! |

| So, I'm going to revive this thread as opposed to starting a new one. I have my stock horn relocated and it's fine, but man... it's weak. I have the Stebel on my V-Strom, but that air horn is huge and it's heavy. Does anyone know of a compromise? Some sort of horn (air or regular) that's louder than stock, but not much heavier than stock? Or am I just living in a dream world? | |

| I didn't think I'd want an air horn like the Stebel I have on my V-Strom. That was until the first time I pushed the button and it went "meep, meep". I ride the WRR on the street too and it deserves a horn that cagers can hear. I still don't know if I want to go the air horn route, size and weight are a consideration, but have a feeling that's where I'll end up. | |

| I separated the compressor, and attached both pieces to a bit of bar stock that bolted into the old horn location. From 100220 Pics of X bike" border="0" /> | |

| I replaced the stock one (right) with this one. I had an air horn on an old Suzuki 1100 and this one is nowhere near as loud as that, but it is better than stock. I'd say its about as loud as any standard car horn. Sorry, no pic on the bike handy but its basically at the stock location, although a bit higher and more out of the way. The only reason I had room to do that was because I'd removed the AIS. I did bend up and drill a piece of aluminum to use as a mount. Painted it and the horn black too Edit: I bought it at a Canadian Tire, but any auto parts store will have a selection of horns. | |
