My F150 gets horrific gas mileage and is inop as usual
, so I took this improbable rig down to Abilene, TX. It's a hitch mounted bike carrier (hitch rated to 350#; carrier rated to 500#), but the Buick is obviously a bit overloaded with it. It was over 600 miles with the bike on the rack to get home, but it worked out ok. Early retired = way more time than money, hence the long trip for a smokin' deal.
I picked up this super nice 08 WRX with 2500 miles for 2900 clams.
I decided on an X due to my location and other odd needs
. I've been studying a lot of Scotty's (Rydnseek) mods on his X and am very grateful for excellent info he and so many others have kindly shared!
Mods by GPO (good previous owner): Cycra handguards, Renthal bars & pad, spark arrestor removed. GPO couldn't find the SA. I really wish he could have as it's pretty loud without it.
Plans: Switch to black 09 plastics and 09 WRX graphics, farkle the hell out of it.
Ride it. Production date is 04/2008, so I'm guessin' I'd better buy a spare fuel pump.
This bike is a replacement for my KLR650
that was murdered.
