Hi there, im new to this forum, and to my bike...

I cant seem to find a set of resoanable priced frameguards for my bike, whats the secret?

I've only found one set, and they were made of carbonfiber or something like that, with a pricetag way too high for me.

Is there any mods that dont look too hillbilly? Iøve seen hockeytape, hacksawed cuttingboards, and stuff like that, but I dont think thats for me.

Appreciate any input thumb

go to local sign shop and get some vinyl. Can get any color or just clear, maybe even have them print you up something and trim to fit! thumb

Hi thanks for the suggestion. But at this time, its not what im looking for, but it seems like a great backup plan.

What do people use, some homemadestuff? I figured some smart guy would have found something from another bike and modded it to our bikes or something... Shog

From what I have seen on here and ADVRider not many guys are running frame guards, unless I just haven't noticed them.

No one puts frame protactors on the WRR because it has an alumuimum frame, no one cares if it gets shinny from your boots rubbing on it, it doesnt hurt a thing.
The bikes with steel frames run frame protectors because they get rusty when your boots rub the paint off the frame, my older kx 250 has them and my old gasgas had them, both have steel frames.

I was actually thinking about getting some frame guards. I have a 2010 and the frame is black and the black is slowly fading away. Not worried it'll rust (haha) just that it'll look worn. But then again...I doubt I'll buy a set.
