So the 50 different riders I know who swear by Kolpin tanks because they are reliable, leak proof extra fuel storage tanks are lying? Fuel pack Jr Icon_scratch

Not necessarily, I've never met your 50 friends, nor heard their mass chorus singing the praises of Koplin.

Personally, I've never used Koplin; but the hearsay on ADV is that for years and years Koplin tanks were made by the rotopax dudes. They had a religious difference of opinion, and Koplin started making their tanks inhouse and Rotopax started selling their own tanks. This was the time when everyone started complaining about the Koplin tanks leaking. YMMV... just thought you'd want the hear the entire rumor. So, if it's true, it would depend on when your friends bought their Koplin tanks--they might actually be Rotopax made.

The one I have is fairly new, with the pressure spout that only lets gas flow when you push on it. Other than that, no gas comes out unless I take the cap right off and dump it out. Fuel pack Jr 619190

And they may very well have solved their quality problems. I would suspect they would, lest they would have run themselves out of business, eh?

It would look to be so. Can't complain about the new design if that's the case. Nothing worse than a leaky jerry can, especially on a bike. Fuel pack Jr 640571

I'd kinda like to see that, too. I just ordered the Rotopax 1 gallon unit and if no body else posts a picture, I'll have mine mounted next week.
