Hi,

I’m just about to throw one of these puppies on my ‘17 WRR. I see the stock tank has a heat shield on the bottom. The IMS tank didn’t come with one.

Do folks adapt a heat shield to the bottom of the IMS tank or just install the way it comes and don’t have issues?

Old thread, but since no one replied...I put some heat tape on the underside of my IMS 3 gal when I installed it. Seems to be some who have experienced fuel pump woes in very hot riding conditions, so I figured why not.
